NCCX Race 3 // Stafford Lake

Sunday, November 3

Final Results: Morning, Afternoon

Location

The Stafford Lake Wildcat, now in its third year, is back and this is going to be the most fun (Type I fun) yet. Forty minutes from San Francisco and thirty five minutes from Santa Rosa the venue is easy to get to from Highway 101 North and South.

Schedule

Here is the start schedule. You see your start time. You also see “staging” before it. You report to the start at the beginning of the STAGING time slot so we can get you gridded up. Your grid position for this first event is based on how fast you registered for the season pass online. Good job! STAGING WILL BE ON THE PAVEMENT IN THE PARKING LOT, look for the white SuperPro team bus. It will be signed and the mavens at reg can point you to it also.

Course

This year's course has a few additions of twisty-turny bits to bring down the speeds of some of the high speed straights and give it more traditional crossy feel. A fast 2.3 mile lap with off-camber downhills, a half rideable stair run, a rolling whoop section, one set of barriers and of course, the Belgian Farm Wall. The course is wildly different from theprevious two events climbing challenges.

Everything Else

The forecast calls for 74 degrees and sunny. Quite nice for cyclocross! The venue has loads of parking, indoor toilets and running water.

Mike's Bikes will be offering neutral mechanical support all day and Cycles Fanatic will be providing the neutral wheel pit.

Chef Ciano will be back with his Sensual Peruvian Wraps and we'll have neutral beer support from our friends at Alaskan Brewing.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Parking is $5 per car. There's plenty of spots to go around.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: There is to BE NO WARMING UP or PRE RIDING ON THE COURSE DURING RACES. FOR THE MEN'S A'S RACE, on course warm ups will begin AFTER THE MAJORITY OF THE WOMEN'S FIELD HAS CROSSED THE FINISH LINE.

For other fields, once the lead racer crosses the line for the finish in a race you may then enter the course to pre-ride it / warm up but PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF RIDERS WHO ARE STILL OUT THERE. If we see you on the course when you are not supposed to be YOU WILL BE CALLED OUT BY NAME FOR HAVING BROUGHT SHAME AND DISHONOR TO YOUR TEAM AND SPONSORS. We may or may not dock your time as well.

Chromatic Coffee will be onsite again with their delicious bean juice for you. Help support their efforts by buying a bag of their locally roasted beans!

Call-ups are based on your finish from last week. The staging area is next to the big white bus on the pavement in the parking lot.

REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR NUMBER FROM LAST WEEK; it's yours to use for the entire series. Even if you pre-register and have a number from last weekend YOU MUST CHECK IN AT REGISTRATION. If you don't check in, your number won't be entered into the timing system, and your racing will be for naught…

The course will be open for inspection from 5:00 - dusk on Saturday. You will still have to pay to park on Saturday to preview the course.
